CB Cares has invested our energy and resources in helping to build assets
in the Central Bucks community. This work continues to have a profound
impact on our children, youth and families.
As you would expect, the more people who purposely commit to making positive
changes in our community, the better the impact will be. It is our hope
our website will give the tools and resources to begin or continue building
assets. We welcome your participation along with your thoughts, comments
and success stories.

Volunteer Opportunities
CB Cares’ Days of Service Program offers three distinct days of
service during the course of the year which prompt community members to
develop and support various volunteer service projects. We kick off the
year with CB Cares’ annual Martin Luther King Day of Service- a
moving opening ceremony engages area choirs, youth performers and various
community members as we honor the compassionate spirit of Martin Luther
King.
Martin Luther King Day of Service remains our largest community-wide
volunteer service project event. CB Cares Spring and Fall Days of Service
are widely supported by the central bucks community and continue to gain
new opportunities and volunteers each year.

Martin Luther King Day of Service
This day of service is part of a nation-wide effort uniting volunteers
from America's small towns to large cities in honor of Dr. King's legacy.
CB Cares coordinates all of the MLK volunteer opportunities within the
community. Each year more than 1,000 volunteers come out to support this
national initiative for service projects. Our partnership with the inter-faith
community allows us to work with several of the local congregations as
well.

Mini Business World
This program is a business simulation fostering community relationships,
connecting youth and adults through positive, asset building experiences.
High school students are presented with the opportunity to experience
the world of business decision-making, team building, sales, marketing
and management through the analysis of six “mock” quarters
of production and financial reports. Students learn working directly with
local business leaders who emphasize the value of teamwork, negotiations,
and diplomacy and most importantly, stress the significance of youth for
the future of our community.

Safer Teen Driving
The goal of CB Care’s Safer Teen Driver Program is to provide our
parent and teen audiences with the resources to develop safer teen drivers.
Driving fatalities continue to be the number one cause of death for teens
between the ages of 16 – 19. CB Cares in concert with our mission
statement has served as a “community catalyst by engaging, empowering
and linking the various community sectors” as we spearhead this
important community initiative. Our program has included an evening community
presentation featuring author and speaker, “Timothy Smith:Crashproof
Your Kids,” the development of our Parent/Teen Driving Contract
and two roundtable discussions which included representatives from law
enforcement, driving industry experts, elected officials, and teens.
